Welcome to Pillager Technology

Pillager Schools utilizes technology to enhance learning and overall school operations. Technology is an integral part of every school day. The aim of our approach is for all students and staff to become self-sufficient, confident, proficient, and creative in their use of technology. To this end, Pillager Schools utilizes Google Suite for day-to-day online productivity and office applications for all students and staff. Pillager has a fully networked campus and a robust Wi-Fi system, providing students with ready access to the Internet and network resources. Our classrooms are equipped with new digital SmartDisplays and document cameras that are used to support the integration of technology into the learning process. Finally, all students and staff follow our Responsible Use Agreement.

Educational Technology Initiatives

Starting with the 2020-2021 school year, Pillager Schools launched an expansion of course offerings that emphasize technology for both Middle and High School students. Pillager is proud to offer these new offerings to our students.

Coding & Programming:
Utilizing a Virtual Reality (VR) environment, middle schoolers now have the option to take a quarter-length class that introduces them to programming. In this course students progress through a series of coding lessons that involve programming a VR robot in different online environments. 

 


Intro to Robotics:
Middle Schoolers have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with VEX IQ robots. These robot kits are designed to teach the principles of engineering, robotics and basic programming. Students spend a quarter learning how to build, document and work through the challenges of building their first robots. 




HS Robotics:
At the High School Level students are offered a semester long class that builds upon  their robotic knowledge. Employing the VEX V5 robots students face more complex engineering and programming challenges while learning essential design principles.
 


HD Video Production:
At the High School Level students can take a semester long course in video production. Taking place in Pillager's newly built video production studio, students learn the principles of video editing, live-streaming and video production.
